Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 25, 2026 · Last Updated: March 25, 2026
Wakey ("the App") is operated by Rivon Group ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data. By using Wakey, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Alarm configurations — times, labels, sounds, backgrounds, mission settings, snooze preferences, and volume levels you set when creating alarms.
- Onboarding responses — during setup, we ask optional questions about your morning habits. These responses help us improve the product.
- Photos — if you choose to import a photo from your library as an alarm background, that image is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous identifier — a random UUID stored on your device, not linked to your name, email, or any personal account.
- Usage events — actions such as creating or deleting alarms, completing missions, snoozing, and opening the app. Never includes personal identifiers.
- Device metadata — iOS version, app version, device model, locale, and timezone. We do not collect your UDID or IDFA.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- Personal identifiers — no name, email, phone number, or account credentials. Wakey does not require an account.
- Location data — we do not access your GPS, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth location.
- Health or fitness data — we do not integrate with HealthKit or any health framework.
- Contacts, calendars, or messages.
- Camera images — the Scan mission uses your camera for real-time on-device detection only. No images are stored or transmitted.
- Biometric data — Face ID authenticates via Apple's secure enclave. Your biometric template never leaves the device.
2. How We Use Your Information

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details. See apple.com/privacy.
We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, social media SDKs, or third-party tracking pixels.
4. Device Permissions

5. Data Storage and Security
- Local data — stored on your device using iOS-protected storage (SwiftData and the app sandbox), encrypted at rest by iOS file protection.
- Analytics data — transmitted to PostHog over HTTPS and stored on EU-hosted infrastructure.
- No cloud sync — your alarms and data are not synced to any cloud service. Deleting the app permanently removes your local data.
6. Data Retention
- On-device data is retained until you delete the app or manually remove individual alarms and photos.
- Analytics data on PostHog is retained per PostHog's standard policies. Since events are anonymous, they cannot be traced back to you.
7. Children's Privacy
Wakey is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app does not collect personal identifiers from any user, no age-gated data collection occurs.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Delete your data — uninstalling the app removes all local data. To request deletion of your anonymous analytics data, contact us below.
- Opt out of analytics — contact us to request removal of your anonymous ID from our analytics platform.
- Data portability — since we collect only anonymous usage events, there is no personal data to export.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
Analytics data is processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union. If you are located outside the EU, your anonymous usage data is transferred to the EU for processing.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
