Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 25, 2026  ·  Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Wakey ("the App") is operated by Rivon Group Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data. By using Wakey, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Alarm configurations — times, labels, sounds, backgrounds, mission settings, snooze preferences, and volume levels you set when creating alarms.
  • Onboarding responses — during setup, we ask optional questions about your morning habits. These responses help us improve the product.
  • Photos — if you choose to import a photo from your library as an alarm background, that image is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Pseudonymous identifier — a random identifier stored on your device. It is not linked to a Wakey account because Wakey does not require one.
  • Usage events — actions such as creating or deleting alarms, completing missions, snoozing, opening the app, and interacting with onboarding or subscription screens.
  • Device and attribution information — iOS version, app version, device model, locale, timezone, device identifiers, purchase information, and campaign or attribution data may be processed by us and our service providers.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • Personal identifiers — no name, email, phone number, or account credentials. Wakey does not require an account.
  • Location data — we do not access your GPS, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth location.
  • Health or fitness data — we do not integrate with HealthKit or any health framework.
  • Contacts, calendars, or messages.
  • Camera images — the Scan mission uses your camera for real-time on-device detection only. No images are stored or transmitted.
  • Biometric data — Face ID authenticates via Apple's secure enclave. Your biometric template never leaves the device.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Third-Party Services

PostHog (Analytics)

We use PostHog to collect pseudonymous usage analytics hosted in the European Union. See posthog.com/privacy.

Superwall (Subscription Management)

We use Superwall to manage in-app paywalls. It may receive your subscription status, purchases, usage events, and a pseudonymous user identifier. See superwall.com/privacy.

TikTok Business SDK (Advertising Measurement)

We use TikTok's Business SDK to measure app-install and advertising performance. Depending on your device settings and consent, TikTok may process identifiers, purchase information, usage data, and attribution data. See TikTok's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details. See apple.com/privacy.

Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission controls whether an app may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can change this choice in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

4. Device Permissions

You can revoke any permission at any time in Settings > Wakey.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Local data — stored on your device using iOS-protected storage (SwiftData and the app sandbox), encrypted at rest by iOS file protection.
  • Analytics data — transmitted to PostHog over HTTPS and stored on EU-hosted infrastructure.
  • No cloud sync — your alarms and data are not synced to any cloud service. Deleting the app permanently removes your local data.

6. Data Retention

  • On-device data is retained until you delete the app or manually remove individual alarms and photos.
  • Analytics and attribution data is retained according to our service providers' retention settings and policies. It is generally associated with pseudonymous identifiers rather than a Wakey account.

7. Children's Privacy

Wakey is rated 9+ on the App Store and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Delete your data — uninstalling the app removes local data. To request deletion of data held by us or our processors, contact us below and include any information that can help us locate it.
  • Object to or restrict processing and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
  • Opt out of cross-app tracking — use Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iPhone.
  • Data portability where applicable under local law.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

9. International Data Transfers

Analytics data is processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union. Other providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, transfers are protected using appropriate legal safeguards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
